The pretty Thai restaurant in Surrey serving lower calorie virgin espresso martinis and margaritas

Giggling Squid is an award-winning Thai restaurant with branches across the south east, including five in Surrey and four in Berkshire. Renowned for it’s dainty purple décor, abundant orchids and bold flavours, the eatery has launched a new menu including two additional non-alcoholic cocktails.

Diners at the charming floral spot can sip on virgin espresso martinis and margaritas and enjoy the delicious taste and appearance of the much-loved classics, but without the booze. Muddled with ginger, lemongrass, lemon juice, agave syrup and finished with a salt rim, the virgin margarita comes in at just 28 calories, while the espresso martini has only 69 calories – half the amount of the traditional tipple.

Ideal for anyone still sticking loyally to their New Year diet, other non-alcoholic cocktails include Virtue Mango and Chilli Mocktail – a fruity concoction of mango, pineapple, lime and chilli with a hot zing of ginger ale (93 calories) – and Sweet Jungle Colada, made up of coconut water, pineapple, lime and mint (94 calories). They start from £5.75.

Like our Giggling Squid classics, every new addition to our menu is inspired by the vibrant and fresh flavours of Thailand.”
