Surrey weather: Snow forecast for county before end of year – but only one town

Snow could be coming to a very specific part of Surrey before the year is out, according to one weather forecaster.

The latest prediction from AccuWeather suggests potential snow in Dorking on December 30.

On that particular Thursday, the day is set to be cloudy overall. However, the morning may well see a few snow showers followed by rain in the afternoon.

While the temperature is set to hit a high of only 4C and with wind gusts of up to a breezy 28km per hour.

Oddly though, neighbouring towns Guildford and Reigate are not predicted any snow at all, so AccuWeather thinks only in Dorking will the conditions be just right for a limited flurry.

As for Surrey and the South East weather in general, the Met Office’s long-range forecast between December 18 and January 11 predicts an increase of frost and fog during this period.

Temperatures in the UK are set to be fairly mild but with the south of the country experiencing colder weather and without much in the way of rain either.
