Surrey weather forecast for the week ahead in Guildford, Woking and Redhill as Easter approaches

The weather is starting to look better across Surrey as we head into Easter week, with temperatures on the rise and a decreasing chance of rain. Hopefully, this will make it easier to plan outdoor activities during a week that for many is the second half of the school Easter holidays.

Dry but cloudy seems to be the theme for the next three days, with low winds and the only real chance of rain being overnight on Monday. After that, it’s more of the same until things improve again in time for the four-day Easter weekend.

The Met Office outlook for London and south-east England says: “Cloudy with strengthening winds on Monday, but feeling milder. Rain sweeping northeast overnight into Tuesday. Cloudy Wednesday with scattered showers later.”

The three-day forecast below focuses on Guildford, Woking and Redhill, to give you a sense of what’s expected in three of Surrey’s biggest towns. At the bottom of our forecast don’t forget you can enter your postcode to receive the most up-to-date outlook for where you live.

Guildford

Sunday, April 10

Only just above freezing at sunrise, but climbing gradually to 12C as the day progresses. Cloudy throughout, but a milder night will see 7C minimum into Monday.

Monday, April 11

A warmer day with highs of 15C but still pretty cloudy throughout, with rain showers breaking out in the early hours of Tuesday morning following a mild but humid night.

Tuesday, April 12

The early rain will clear by mid-morning, after which Tuesday will look much like Monday – cloudy with temperatures of about 15C. In fact, it’s more of the same from Wednesday to Friday too, before the temperature jumps again for Easter weekend.

Woking

Sunday, April 10

An early frost is possible as temperatures reached close to freezing overnight, but up to 12C as mid-afternoon approaches. Cloudy with a gentle south-easterly breeze, and very little chance of rain.

Monday, April 11

After a milder night, another cloudy day awaits but this time with 15C maximum temperature. Staying warm but becoming humid as the evening progresses, resulting in scattered showers before the sun rises on Tuesday.

Tuesday, April 12

Sunshine and showers at breakfast time, but drying up as temperatures hit 16C. Staying humid throughout the day, although more rain beyond the morning currently looks unlikely.

Redhill

Sunday, April 10

There might possibly be some sunshine peering through the clouds this morning, which will help things to defrost after a chilly night. The cloud will soon predominate though, with temperatures only reaching a modest 12C although it will stay dry and any breeze will only be mild.

Monday, April 11

After a mild but cloudy night, Monday looks a little warmer at 15C by mid-afternoon. As with elsewhere in the county, it will get more humid as the day goes on – although rain overnight seems a little less likely here than in the west of the county.

Tuesday, April 12

Certainly a cloudy start and possibly a rainy one, but then drying up although staying fairly dull for the rest of the day with the afternoon temperature again at around 15C. It’s more of the same from Wednesday to Friday too, before a warmer turn for Easter itself.
