Pubs and Bars in Guildford

When you visit pubs in Guildford, you will find lively watering holes, ideal for hot summer nights and cosy winter evenings.  You will also find some delicious food, freshly prepared, and often locally sourced too!  A pub is the best place for a Sunday Roast!  For a gastronomic delight visit The March Hare.

Look out for local ales from Hogs Back Brewery or Surrey Hills Brewery or one of the many small micro-breweries found in Surrey.  The area is famous for sparkling wines from Denbies or Albury Vineyard - you won't regret substituting one of these for your usual Prosecco!  Why not take a tour around the Hogs Back Brewery or one of the vineyards with generous tastings, and the opportunity to buy bottles to take home.

Gin fans can head to The Keep pub, next to the Castle Grounds where you will find the largest selection of over 50 gins - including the locally made Silent Pool Gin. The Whiskey Shop in Chapel Street has a huge selection of Whiskeys and bourbons from around the world - keep a look out on our events pages for whiskey tasting evenings in local pubs too.

Visit the award winning Britannia pub, with an excellent food menu, plenty of outdoor seating and a warm welcome for your dog too. They will even provide four legged friends with a comfortable cushion!  The Weyside also has excellent outdoor seating, reaching right down to the River Wey with a BBQ area making it ideal for summer evenings and weekends when you can watch the boats drift by. The White House is also on the river, right by the Town Bridge.

Many Guildford pubs have regular live music. Visit The Keystone, The Keep, theBoileroom and The Star- (the Star even has a little theatre at the back often showing theatre and comedy).
