One person tests positive for coronavirus in Surrey in past 24 hours

There has been one new case of coronavirus across the whole of Surrey, in the past 24 hours.

And no further deaths have been recorded.

The latest daily figures, published on Tuesday afternoon (July 20), show the total now stands at 4,648 recorded cases since the start of the pandemic, up from 4,647 on Monday.

Overall in the UK there have been 45,422 deaths in all settings of people who had tested positive for coronavirus.

Lab-confirmed cases now stand at a total of 295,817 since the start of the pandemic.

NHS trusts operating in and around Surrey have not recorded any additional deaths of patients who had tested positive for coronavirus.

The total of patient deaths in Surrey hospitals since the start of the pandemic remains at 1,195.
