New coronavirus cases recorded in Surrey over last 24 hours

Eight new cases of coronavirus have been recorded across Surrey in the last 24 hours, new figures show.

No deaths have been recorded in the hospitals operating in the county.

The latest daily figures, published on Saturday afternoon (July 25), show the total now stands at 4,672 recorded cases since the start of the pandemic, up from 4,664 on Friday.

Overall in the UK there have been 45,738 deaths in all settings of people who had tested positive for coronavirus – with 61 additional deaths recorded in today’s figures.

Lab-confirmed cases now stand at a total of 298,681 since the start of the pandemic – an increase of 767 in the last 24 hours.

NHS trusts operating in and around Surrey have recorded no additional deaths of patients who had tested positive for coronavirus.

The total of patient deaths in Surrey hospitals since the start of the pandemic remains at 1,196.
