Wendy’s is all set to open in Guildford this week and is showing off its new sparkly interior. The North Street restaurant and takeaway looks a lot different from its time as a Mothercare, with new kitchen and dining area.
The fast food joint is the first of its kind in Surrey, with nearby restaurants in Reading and Kingston upon Thames. The American chain is famous for its square burgers and Frosty desserts that are both mouthwatering. From Tuesday customers will be invited in to order on the self-service machine and then either eat in or take away.

Doors are opening at 10.30am on Tuesday (November 28). Normally the burger joint is open for a full Wendy’s-style breakfast from 7am, but that will only be available from Wednesday onwards. Instead on Tuesday there will be a range of exciting deals for new customers. The first 50 people in the queue will get a free Wendy’s t-shirt with a bespoke design. Additionally, the first three people to tag themselves on Wendy’s socials with the Wendy’s standee will get free Dave’s Singles for a year. The grand opening will also feature a balloon arch, ribbon-cutting celebration and a prize wheel for fans to spin to win.
There are salads for those looking for something a bit healthier, as well as veggie options and a kids menu. Meals come with hot drinks or a soft drink of your choice.
