Latest Surrey coronavirus infection rate for each part of county shows 23 per cent rise in one area

New data on coronavirus infection rates in Surrey has shown a rise of nearly a quarter in one area.

The upward trend has accelerated in Surrey Heath, which is now up 23 per cent compared with the previous week.

Surrey Heath is the only area showing a week-on-week increase.

However, in Woking, the number of cases in the last week was exactly the same as the previous week. Woking had 141 cases in the week ending February 18, the same as the previous week.

Rates are down in all other areas, and Mole Valley has seen the biggest week-on-week fall.

The infection rate rose in Tandridge and Elmbridge compared to yesterday, but it is still down week on week.

The England average for the same period is 18 per cent down.
