All areas of Surrey have now recorded cases of the Delta variant, according to new Government figures.
Each week, Public Health England releases data on the number of confirmed cases of the variant first identified in India, known as the Delta variant.
The figures are broken down by local authority, meaning that it is possible to track how the coronavirus variant is spreading throughout Surrey, and where it is most prevalent.
The most recent data was released on Friday (June 11) and covers the period of time up to June 9 – in that time, Surrey has seen 744 cases of the Delta variant.
A sizeable chunk of those cases have come in Reigate and Banstead, where 233 cases of the variant have been recorded so far, considerably more than anywhere else in Surrey.
From May 26 to June 9, two parts of Surrey, Ash and Ash Vale, were included in a surge testing programme that mostly occurred over the border in Hampshire.
The two Surrey areas are in the Guildford borough, which has seen 40 cases as a whole.
Waverley has seen the fewest number of Delta variant cases in Surrey so far, with 14 being confirmed up to June 9.
Below is the full breakdown of the number of Delta variant cases recorded so far in each of the 11 Surrey local authority areas.
